The Second Shamima Shaikh Lecture was delivered by Professor Sa'diyya Shaikh, associate professor in the Department of Religious Studies, University of Cape Town. The topic of her lecture was "Cultivating Spirit, Embodying Justice: Sufism, Gender and Islamic Feminism".

The lecture event was held in Overport, Durban at the Al-Ansaar Hall, on the 5 September 2015.
